Polyolefins

Polyolefins (PP, HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE) are well known polymers. They are used in a broad range of applications: packaging, automotive, electrical appliances, agriculture and construction.

They account for 48% of Western Europe’s annual consumption of plastics (2011). However, recycling schemes do only cover a fraction of the waste generated (e.g. rigid plastic bottles)

Looplife Polymers is aiming at recovering harder-to-recycle polyolefins and convert those streams into higher value material. During this recycling process, the material properties can also be modified (color, thermal protection, UV protection...).
